  • Only on Monday through Friday nights will there be closures, with clearly marked detours in place.

You won't be able to turn right from Finchley Road onto Avenue Road, and College Crescent will be closed in both directions between Buckland Crescent and Avenue Road. This is taking place as HS2 Ltd. works on the new high-speed rail link's construction.

You are recommended to plan, allow more time for your trip, and use alternate routes when available because delays are to be expected. Check ahead of time for details on the state of the roads in your area.

On Euston Road, HS2

The A501, Euston Road, between Upper Woburn Place and Gower Street, will see a sequence of lane closures in both directions until mid-February 2023. Additionally, footways will occasionally be closed, and pedestrians will be redirected to safe lane changes on the highway. This is taking place as HS2 Ltd. begins to work on preparing the area for the construction of the new HS2 station at Euston.

Along with the lane closures on Euston Road beginning at the end of February, which will last for several years, there will be three-weekend closures of Euston Bus Station from January 27 through 29, as well as on February 3, 5, and 10.

Western Road, A40

At the intersection of Victoria Road/Horn Lane and Wales Farm Road/Leamington Park, there will be several weekend lane limitations and some localised restricted turns on the A40 Western Avenue until Monday, March 13. Weekend lane restrictions and, if necessary, local detours will be in place from 22:00 on Friday until 05:00 on Monday. You are encouraged to verify before they go and allow more time to complete your journey because some interruption to your plans is to be expected.

Roundabout in Wandsworth

There will be lane closures on the Wandsworth roundabout from 08:00 to 17:00 till Saturday, April 1. This is a result of necessary maintenance and safety upgrades.

There will be more overnight closures of the roundabout between 21:30 and 05:30 on the following day between Monday, February 13, and Sunday, February 26.

Please allow more time for your trip, and abide by the posted detours when necessary.

Great West Road, A4

There will be lane limitations between Boston Manor Road and Lionel Road North until May 2023. Additionally, there will be complete nightly road closures from Monday, January 23, to Sunday, January 29, and from Monday, February 6, to Sunday, February 12.
