Summer Exhibition 2016 | Event Highlights

The Summer Exhibition is a marvelous annual event which has been held since 1769. Running for its 248^th year, the exhibition is open until the 21^st of August, spread out in 10 different rooms, showcasing over 1,000 creations of; photography, watercolour paintings and many more works of art including digital photographs. Richard Wilson RA will be coordinating the event this year, who also happens to be the leading British sculptor.

The individuals responsible for hanging the art works for this year?s Summer Exhibition will be the following Royal Academicians:

Within these Summer Exhibition you get to experience what is currently happening around the world in the form of art. Not only that, you also have the option to purchase the art put on display so you can have your very own original piece of art to take home.

Last year?s Summer Exhibition was enjoyed by the attendees as well as part-takers who won a portion of the ?50,000 worth of prizes. 5,000 works of art were also sold by the end of the event.
